The Supreme Court bar elections in Pakistan, this time with great importance. Couple of years back, A very small part knows about the bar associations elections. Ok, coming to the main point, The Ali Ahmed Kurd has been elected as the new president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Pakistan. The Kurd has been nominated by most of the lawyers and also has the support of former presidents of SCBA Aitzaz Ahsan (A Well Known name in Lawyers Movement) and Munir A. Malik (Another well knows name In Lawyers Movement).

Ali Ahmed Kurd, A very well known name in Lawyers Movement since the Mushraff filed the reference against chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The Kurd won the election with the heavy lead over his opponent M.Zafar. M.Zafar has the support of Federal Minister for law Farooq Naik and Attorney General Mr. Latif Khosa and most groups of PLF (Peoples Lawyers Forum). This the clear cut version that government policies about the restoration of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as the chief justice of Pakistan are very unpopular not only among the lawyers but also in most of the people in Pakistan.

Celebrations have been made by the lawyers in high courts thorough out the country.
